Situated just out of Waterford in the country but only a few minutes from the centre of Town , so very peaceful and quiet.We found it a very relaxing and lovely place to stay.The owner and staff were very helpful and friendly and made you feel part of the family. We felt that we were experiencing some of the" real Irish people and life " , especially at the local pub which is within easy walking distance of Diamond Hill. The rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable. We will certainly be returning here if we travel to Ireland again.One of the highlights of our holiday.

A secluded country house just minutes from Waterford. Ben and Katie are great hosts with an intimate knowledge of the area and the rest of Ireland. The rooms have been recently re-finished, are modern and spacious. Ben's Irish breakfast (including porridge) was excellent and equivalent to any we had during our month long visit to Ireland.

We were fortunate to spend three glorious nights at Diamond Hill Country House. Nestled in a quiet, rural setting just two miles from Waterford, Diamond Hill Country House proved a great launch for day trips to nearby attractions - Dunmore East, Waterford Castle and House of Crystal, Duncannon Fort, Crook Lighthouse, The Rock of Cashel and Dunmore Cave. Hosts Benny and Katie Smith were warm, welcoming and eager to please. We loved our room - spacious, comfortable and very clean; our breakfasts - fresh, hearty and varied; and the whole atmosphere - laid back and friendly. Wednesday night's live music at the pub down the road was an added bonus. We will return!

Benny and Katie may be the most affable hosts in all of Ireland. Great service, fabulous humour and a wealth of information about Waterford specifically and Ireland in general. The breakfasts were superb--the best we had during our time in Ireland.

The rooms were recently redecorated and the beds very comfortable. Our toilet took a little time to refill but that's Ireland!

As an added bonus, if you play your cards right and you just might be able to listen to Katie sing at the local pub just down the road.

Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!
