“What a lovely place to stay!!”

We only stayed one night but were very impressed with the house and the people who run it. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with extras in the bathrooms that you do not usually get in a B&B. The guest lounge had coffee facilites and large TV. The breakfast was exceptionally good and very plentiful. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone.

“Beautiful countryside retreat! We'll be back.”

Gorgeous big old house 2km from the centre of Waterford City but well located in the quiet countryside. Hosts Katie and Benny Smith are friendly, helpful and gracious. Huge rooms with gorgeous rooms overlooking the gardens or nearby hillside. Great location for morning walks or jogs along country lanes. Full irish breakfast in beautiful little breakfast room. Don't miss the Mile Post pub 100m down the road for an authentic Irish atmosphere and music (we were there on a Wednesday night). Recommend day trip to Dunmore East for a cold swim or walk through this gorgeous coastal town.

“Very nice and quiet.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 June 2011

Bernard was a great host. He greeted us warmly and served a very nice breakfast.

We walked to the neighborhood pub down the street and had a few pints before walking home and turning in. Slept well and had an overall nice stay.

“Quiet B&B”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 June 2011

Old fashioned B&B - rooms were quiet and nice enough, but the room was dark (only an overhead light and no lamps) and our toilet took forever to refill. Breakfast was very good and the hostess was nice. Wi-fi was free and available, but we couldn't get it to work in our room and had to sit in the front room - also not well-lit.

“Average stay in Waterford...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 July 2010

Very quiet B&B. Old-fashioned decor, building hallways were rather dark. Comfortable beds and good shower. Average breakfast. Owner was not talkative but friendly enough. 5-10 minute drive from Waterford city center.
