I stayed here for one night in November 2011. The choral festival and Sligo IT graduation was on, and this was one of the few places in Sligo with rooms available. What a stroke of luck it turned out to be!
This B&B is highly rated all over the place and it fully deserves it. The room we got was very large with an ensuite (small with shower) - the room itself was. one of the biggest I've ever seen in a B&B and decorated to a very high standard.
We were given a very warm welcome and our host Mary proceeded to let us know exactly what was on in town that evening and provided a very comprehensive list of places to eat and drink, very handy indeed!!
There is a menu for breakfast, which you must order the previous evening...all I can say is there is no bad option on the menu. I went for the French toast - highly recommended!
I slept very well and enjoyed the breakfast very much. The quality of the food puts hotels to shame for what they offer.
The B&B is a 15 minute walk to the town centre or about €5 in a taxi. There is ample parking at the back of the house and our room was right at the back and nice and quiet.
There is also free wifi througout and a PC if you don't have a laptop/smartphone. For provision of the PC, a 50c donation is suggested. Take note hotel managers!
I would have no hesitation in going back - the no.1 rating is well deserved!
Room Tip: Get a room away from the main road to keep noise levels as low as you can.
