“The most ueven ground you will find anywhere”

The first thing that hit me about this place was that there was a huge queue of vehicles going into the site. It turned out that the gated entrance has room for just one vehicle so when you sign in you have no choice to park your car in front of the gates blocking everybody else. when we got there it was packed but even if the place was empty i would have found it diffivult to find a flat piece of land i have never seen a campsite as bumpy and hilly. at one end where your might find a have decent spot you are on the road anywhere else you are on a hill or bumpy ground. the views are amazing though. and as this is a familyorientted site the campsite is full of familys therefore a rest in bed or a quit morning is out of the question but its not too bad and anyone who camps isnt there for a rest in bed. facillites are ok showers are clean as are toilets and washing up facilities.

“If camping this is an awful place”

Facilities very poor. Supposed to be 4 star but there is no way. Showers and Toilets etc too far from the tent area. The proprietor Noeleen very rude with no manners. She does not take bookings so you have to drive there not knowing if she will let you in. Dont go there.

“near the sea”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2006

Perfect setting. Fantastic outlook towards the sea and the dark shape of Knocknarae with its secrets of Queen Maeve. Little tents like ours were all put together. Facilities fairly basic and shop could have been better. Too many static caravans for my taste. but when the weather was good, it was a joy to stroll on the beach and swim in the Atlantic, to watch the changing skies and feel the gentle breeze on your face.
Rosses Point is steeped in history, poetry and art.
