“Good value in central location”

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Sligo. It is a little hard to find however we phoned the reception and the receptionist directed us to the hotel and stayed on the phone until we had found it. The car park is very small however we were lucky to get a space just outside the front of the hotel. Our first Impressions of the place wern't great when we arrived however as we entered our room we were pleasantly suprised it was more of an apartment style with a living area and small kitchen area. Just off it was the bedroom which was very nicely decorated and a nice sized bathroom. The best part was the river view from our bedroom window it was very nice. The girl on reception was friendly and helpful. There is a chinese/thai restaurant downstairs beside the reception where you can get breakfast we went here both mornings and it was a very good. It is a short walk into town from the hotel and Sligo is a lovely place with some great restaurants and shops. Overall I would recommend these apartments as they are good value and very central however I think they could do with a good clean and maybe a little freshen up.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the river

“false advertising and a poor level of cleanliness”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Signage to the riverside is incorrect (outside the embassy rooms/toffs). upon arrival the receptionist was on a personal call on her mobile switching shifts, and insisted it was a 'necessary call', we had booked a room with a king size room, we were offered a room with two single beds (207) it was freezing. we were relocated to another room (302) the room had 2 single beds pushed together. There were pubic hairs on the bed, in the bath, on the bath and beside the shaving plug, disgusting. The storage heating in the rooms took a long time to warm up too. Such poor quality for a hotel in 2012. The smell of dampness coming up from the leisure centre-which is still advertised on your website and in the hotel. the pool has been emptied and for some reason looks carpeted and gym equipment in the pool now?? the dishwasher didn’t work in the room, there was cigarette burns on the couch of a non smoking room. a complete disappointment. Mis- sold and falsely advertised. There is no leisure centre, no bar, no restaurant. The only positive aspect of this “hotel’’ is it is centrally located. There is minimal parking and is aprox 2 km from the bus/ train station. The website is out of date and is offering facilities that are now nonexistent. The dirt at the external entrance what used to be the leisure centre is awful with drinks cans and condoms in it. This is an awful sight.

Room Tip: spent a bit extra and stay anywhere else.

“Great value in the heart of Sligo City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

Stayed here recently in one of their 2 bedroom suites with 6 of my friends. Couldn't have asked for a better location in the centre of town, right beside supermarkets, shops, nightclubs etc. Rooms were spacious and clean but one downfall is that their showers weren't hot on the morning we were leaving which was VERY disappointing. Other than that, I would definitely recommend it.

“Lovely”

Stayed here on a Saturday night and have to say I was pleasently suprised. Being familiar with Sligo & the exterior of the building to be honest I wasn't expecting much!!!!

We arrived early in the evening & were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who directed us to our suite which was very spacious and clean. The bathrooms are small but were clean and the mirror has good light.

As we were only staying overnight there wasn't an issue with the number of cups, plates etc (though not a full of everything)

The rooms are comfortable and had the fire alarm not gone off in the middle of the night I'm sure we would have had a good nights sleep!!!

As others have mentioned there's no TV in the bedrooms but a large flat screen in the living area.

When we arrived back (late!!) there was a door man on duty checking what suite we were in etc which I felt was a good idea - would expect this in a hotel but hadn't expected it here.

My only faults would be:
1. the carpark is really tiny - I had to park on a nearby residential street outside someones house.
2. The suites while very clean could do with some freshing up - the carpets have some stains and the curtains need to be rehung (some of the hooks are comming out of the rings)

Room Tip: Ask for a river view
