spent two nights here on 2nd and 3rd feb 2012, was given free upgrade to a deluxe room , it was a very comfortable and large room with plenty of tv chanells dvd player and cd player free btls water ,tea and coffee. staff very friendly and helpful, food menus in the hotel were very basic for choice but what was served up was excelent and of a very high standard, westport town is just a short walk away or a taxi will cost about E5.00

booked this hotel as a birthday treat for my girlfriend on a special January rate...2 nights B&B with 1 dinner and a spa treatment....excellent value. we upgraded to a deluxe room, can safely say it was the largest hotel room i have ever stayed in....indeed i have stayed in hotel rooms that were smaller than the bathroom. the staff, the service and the cleanliness of the hotel were top notch. the 2 small gripes i would have with the hotel were....we wanted to up grade our dinner from the Table D’Hôte to the gourmet tasting menu (the restaurant & chef have won many awards) but the charge for this was 100 euro which we felt was a bit expensive., we stuck with the Table D’Hôte menu which was fantastic, the second small issue was the tv reception which was poor in both our room and the bar and no sky sports, not a big issue for us as we didnt intend watching much tv but something that may be more of a concern for other people. overall absolutley recommend staying here

Spent bank holiday weekend in this hotel in Oct 2011 for my brother's wedding. The hotel did a great job. Check-in was warm and friendly as was the lobby area itself with an open log fire roaring away. The rooms can only be described as huge as are the bathrooms. The design of the property is however a little odd with the walk from reception to most of the rooms taking a good 5 mins and 2 lifts! We ate in the restaurant and were very pleased with the standard and quality of the food, the wine list and the service. Breakfast was also wonderful - again in terms of choice and quality. The only 'criticisms' I'd have relates to the price of the rooms - I found it odd to be charged per person as opposed to per room. While standards and quality were high I'm not sure the stay represented value for money. If I were to return to Westport I'd probably stay somewhere cheaper in the town itself. All that aside, we had a wonderful time.

My wife and I stayed here in February 2011 for 5BB4D and I can honestly say that this was the best Hotel that we have stayed in, in Ireland.The location, service,staff,restaurant,pool,were all top class.We have booked again for February 2012 for 3BB3D.
