Staff are friendly but the hotel is very outdated and run down. Can be very cold in parts & very quiet during low season. Rooms are spacious but very basic. Leisure centre is lovely.

We booked in over the Christmas week for two nights.

When we arrived the hotel seemed lovely set on beautiful grounds and nice foyer.
But when we walked to the room, the decor deteriorated as we got closer to the actual room and when we arrive at the room, it was a disgrace, there was wallpaper hanging off the walls and it was very cold.

My wife went down to reception and asked if they could do anything and the girl gave us another room but she was very unapologetic and dismissive about it.

The next room was a little better but after we had settled in for the evening, we noticed blue mould on a wall behind the TV, by this stage we had enough of moving around and decided to make do.

I moved the TV to the middle of the room and avoided that area.

The rooms were of poor decor and there were old CRT tvs in the room.

I would hope that the rooms are given a complete makeover before recommending this hotel.

My Fiancee and myself get a 2 nights deal via groupon and I must say I had a great time.

Food was good and the spa was amazing.

Room was very warm, but that was a good thing. Very large room with great facilities. Hair dryer, iron etc.

previous posters have said about flaking paint etc, but there are ongoing fixes happening to these and are pointed out with signage.

Very pleasant staff all round. Would go again.

only down point, wifi was patchy in room.

i stayed for 1 nite with my friend and it was very enjoyable and relaxin.bar food was gorgeous and breakfast in the morning 2.we had 4 treatments in d spa and i definitely recommend d spa especially d mud chamber very enjoyable.so relaxin and staff were excellent.lovely quiet place and our room was so big with loads of space in it.would defenite return if only just to use d spa.
