Just back from a weekend with my husband at this hotel.. I was really looking forward to our stay as so many people had told me how nice they heard this hotel to be and going on other tripadvisor reviews I thought we were on a winner. I have to say I was really disappointed. We booked the winter special. Our room was small enough. We were suppose to have a superior room as part of the package but this room was definitely standard (315).

The hotel was very spotlessly clean. However I did accidentally spill a glass of water in our room and the glass broke. I picked up what we could. The cleaner was in while we were at breakfast to "clean" the room. The room was not hoovered and glass remained on the floor!!!!

The food in the hotel is lovely. We ate in the bar twice and the meal was really good. However the service was terrible. The bar staff gave us the impression they didn't care. There was one lovely girl lorraine who served us on the second day who was very pleasant and helpful. Her male counterparts should take note of how she does things!!

We had the thermal suite booked as part of our package. The spa is not great at all. I was shown to a locker which had a robe and towel. I put the robe on and when I put my hands in pockets there were dirty tissues in it. The towel was also dirty with makeup!!

I dont want to give the impression that we are fussy and awkward because by all means we are not. I was just very disappointed by this hotel. I guess it was just a combination of so many little things that just put us off this hotel. Shame!!

I was at this hotel recently for a training course. This is a lovely hotel, the layout is unusual with the bar and restaurant are upstairs. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful, must mention John who's excellent at his job, nice to see staff who are interested in their work. The food is the restaurant was tasty and there's a nice selection on the menu.There were lots of different groups and families around, which gave a nice atmosphere to the hotel.

Stayed here for one night with my husband. Rooms lovely, spacious and comfy. Lovely breakfast, had it delivered to room so not sure of whole selection they had to offer but had full irish and it was fab!

Thought the hotel was real chic and cosmo and probably more suited to singles and couples than families.

Would be great if they had a swimming pool, didn't get a chance to get to the spa!!
