We stayed on a dinner B&B package. Room was fine apart from some old sauce sachets and butter wrappers on shelf above TV. Bed was two single mattresses put together so a little uncomfortable. Was really impressed with waitress in restaurant but check in with receptionist - somewhat unfriendly. When asked where gym was - monotone answer - no enthusiasm or warmth. Check out she just stated the we are all square, no 'was everything okay' or 'thanks'. Major let down for this hotel - has lots of potential with tasteful furniture and decor both in lobby and restaurant and bars.

My wife and I plus our 16 year old daughter stayed in this Hotel on New Years Eve and we have come away fully satisfied with our experience. To begin with our room was a family room with a double and two singles with plenty of room for us. Breakfast was served at the table after our selection from the breakfast menu. Top class and lovely to have it delivered to the table.
The highlight for us was the four course dinner with a glass of bubbly to boot. My meal of different fish fried in garlic butter was unbelievably tasty My wife and daughter had fillet of beef and duck also on a bed of champ with veg. Usual deserts to finish. A fabulous meal. The price of 139 Euro was a special I know but such value makes us want to go back there again. Music in the bar that night to ring in the New Year finished of a perfect getaway for us. Also a good sign to see locals coming in to the bar with an older crowd in general making the night a relaxing affair. The manager was very friendly and was present morning noon and night asking us if everything was ok. A very plesant young lady made our check in - check out easy and relaxing. I stayed here early in 2011 and it is a typical modern hotel with very little character, but we had to change rooms twice as the first two rooms they sent us to hadn't been cleaned. Another problem is that to get to breakfast, you have to climb a very long, steep staircase (the lift only goes to the bedrooms). If you were any way disabled, or infirm or pushing a pram, you would have to go outside and walk along the public footpath to reach the restaurant and bar part of the building.

Not what I was expecting when I rang to book. Very pleasant staff, clean hotel nice bar, great gym and great value. What more could you want? I checked in at the last minute so wasn't expecting much but I was shocked with how nice this place was. I was on a business trip but will defo be using this hotel next time I am in Limerick.
