4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

This was our 2nd visit to Radisson blu limerick.Didnt have too much time in hotel as we had things to do in nearby limerick and clare.
However did have time for a short visit to pool and spa area, pool was lovely and the out door hot tub on a cold friday feb evenin was so comforting.
The check in wasswift and the girl on desk, was extremly pleasant.we were in room 211,nice big room with nice sofa, large bed,tea coffee making facilities etc.only downside,No drinking water.
Breakfast was lovely, great fruit, hot buffet with lots on offer, cereals pastries.all lovely.

“Radisson Blu”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Got a discounted rate at E49 which included breakfast. The room we got was big, however almost too big as the tv was at the opposite end of the room, and was too far away to be seen clearly. The tv was maybe 22 inches?so difficult to see.
The rest of the room was fine, it was clean. The wallpaper had a few scuff marks, and the back of the office chair was damaged from scratching against the desk.
Worst point about the room (number 326 i think?) is that its behind the elevator, so for the whole day/night you can hear it going up and down. one of the elevators was actually out of order at the time (luckily for us!).
Was woken up a couple of times during the night by people screaming, maybe to be expected from the weddings that are held.
The breakfast spread was very good....fruit, cereals, pastries, fry-up etc. However like previous reviewers have mentioned, the fry-up was pretty cold.
All the staff we met with were lovely and very polite.
The swimming pool didn't seem the cleanest, as soon as I went in and saw the water, I was straight back out again! But the outdoor hot tub is lovely.

I guess we got what I payed for, for 2 people staying with breakfast but If I was to pay the full rate for the hotel I would have scored lower.

Room Tip: Make sure your room is not behind elevator.

Thank you for your review of the hotel - delighted that you felt the staff were lovely and polite and that the variety on our Breakfast Buffet exceeded your requirements.
In relation to your bedroom, we would of course have moved you to another room if you were not happy with the noise levels. I know that this is not always convenient, depending on the time of night and perhaps it was made noisier due to the large number of guests staying. We do endeavour to ensure that there are no guests being excessively noisy, however this is not always possible.
I do hope that you will return to the hotel in the coming months and I can guarantee that your next experience will be a better one.
Warm Regards

“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Overall a nice hotel, bedrooms large and comfortable. Bar food was very disappointing and restaurant is way over priced. Breakfast was cold and obviously cooked for hours! Woken quiet a few times during the nite with rowdy people. Nice decor but wont be in a hurry to return.

Thank you for your review - delighted to read that you felt we have a lovely hotel with large comfortable bedrooms. In relation to the price of food in the Restaurant, I was surprised to read you feel we are overpriced. We offer an early bird menu 7 nights a week from €16.95 for a two course with tea/coffee and our Table D'Hote menu is just €28 for a full 4 course meal which I believe represents great value for money. House Wines in our Restaurant are just €12.95. I will pass on your comments to our Bar and Kitchen in relation to the food - I do hope that you give us the opportunity to welcome you back to the hotel in the future and perhaps you might have a better impression.
Kind Regards

“Rugby / family weekend away”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We stayed for two nights in January, while going to a Rugby match in Limerick City.
We had dinner on the Friday night in the restaurant with all the family. The food was nice and the service was very good. The bar was busy and a friendly atmosphere and were serving good food also.
The hotel has a very good bottle of wine offer that we availed of.
The children availed of the playroom playing pool and air hockey.
The family rooms are massive (we had a king size two good sized singles and a camp bed at the end of the king size bed, and we still had room to move around.
I found the hotel lovely. The spa and pool area is beautiful and well kept! The main area of the hotel is very clean and decorated nicely. We found all staff helpful and polite
Breakfast was amazing!! Great selection and very tasty and fresh!
The only thing is the toaster forms a big queue, I know from passed experience there they have bought a bigger one (from a household one last year), but maybe they might invest in a second one !!
It must have been good as the Castres Olympique rugby team and referee and touch judges all stayed there as well !!!

Thank you very much for such a great review - as you know it was a very busy weekend, especially with Castres Rugby team staying, but delighted that you felt this added even more to your stay. We do tend to get chosen for visiting Rugby Teams a lot, so maybe next time you will get to meet more - you might even avail of the Park N Ride facility to the game,
We put a lot of effort into making the hotel a Family Friendly zone, so it is good to see that you felt it enhanced your stay.
I do hope that we get to welcome your Family back to the hotel in the coming months.
Kind Regards

“Very nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

A group of 10 of us stayed here for one night in Jan 2012, I found the hotel lovely. The spa and pool area is beautiful and well kept! The main area of the hotel is very clean and decorated nicely. We found all staff helpful and polite.

It is a good 10 minute drive from limerick city which is a downside!

Also we had lunch in the bar and it was very basic, my glass and fork were dirty and the ketchup the waitress gave us was dried into the dish. Food not great.

Breakfast on the other hand was amazing!! Great selection and very tasty and fresh!
