“Adequate budget hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 December 2011

This 'Motel' type hotel is adequate for budget conscious guests. Located on the western outskirts of Limerick City, it's around a 10 euro taxi ride into the shopping / nightlife heart of Limerick. While the rooms were clean & reasonably spacious for the price, some of the fixtures & fittings were a little worn & there was a slight smell of stale cigarette smoke. Recommended for stags / hens / rugby weekends. Not suitable for romantic breaks.

“A good value out of town hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2011

Only stayed a couple of nights but no problems at all. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable and the free wi-fi available in the reception area was an added bonus. The attached eatery, Eddie Rockets, was a little different from what you usually get at budget hotels but if you like burgers and 50's style American diners then you'd feel right at home. Around 30-40 minutes walk into the centre of Limerick so no problem if you're fit and healthy, otherwise a bus from the nearby stop would be just the ticket. A short walk from a large Tesco's also provides the option for sandwiches, drinks and other essentials should you need them. All in all a pretty good choice.

“Not too bad - thought it wouldn't be !!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2011

Having stayed recently at a few disappointing Travelodges – we were concerned about booking another one.

The Travelodge on the Ennis Road Limerick is not without its faults, i.e. there is not a lift to the second floor but we booked a family room and it is was clean, friendly and had been recently updated.

Plenty of parking and there are internet facilities should you need them.

Was not overall keen on the next door American dinner – the food was very average.
So in summary we would stay again.
