The entire working staff are Polish (which I have no problem with) but this causes somewhat of a language barrier which is unavoidable.
The first room we were put into had not been cleaned. There was a smell of smoke, the bed clothes were pulled out onto the floor, the sofa bed was upside-down and I won't even go into the gruesome details of the bathroom.
A polish friend in my party went downstairs to get us a clean room and returned a few moments later. The new room appeared nice and clean (albeit with a strange smell in the room) but being 3 lads on a night out we weren't too fussed. The next morning we found the cause of the odor was a pool of vomit underneath one of the beds from the last occupants. It's just disgusting.
There is a different between a budget hotel and a total kip, and this is by far the worst 'hotel' I've ever stayed in, simply awful.
The restaurant is an Eddie Rockets, which is a fast food diner and does nice food, but it is a bit expensive. At least you are almost guaranteed a decent meal if you eat there though.
