We stayed here for one night, as we were flying out of Shannon in the early morning on our way to London. The hotel is dated and the carpets were definitely dated, worn and stained but everything about the hotel was just fine for our stay. Upon entering our family room, we were overcome with stale cigarette smoke...too much for us to endure for even one night so we asked to be moved. They immediately walked me to 3 different rooms to see if any of them would be a sufficient replacement for our stay. It was the easiest switching of rooms I think I've ever experienced in my years of traveling!

Great big bar/pub with decent priced food. We had a pint here but didn't eat. Some of the on-line information for this hotel suggested that it was within a few minutes walking distance to city center - it's more of a 5-10 minute drive.

oh my god had to get on here to warn people of this awful awful place,stayed last tues,just to go to munster rugby match and have few social drinks after.
on arrival it looked ok nothing fancy,quick check inwell it was 7pm,went to room which was very dated and FREEZING cold.a dirty towel was thrown across the table with the limited tea and coffee facility,gross.maid must have been interrupted mid cleaning or she couldnt bear the cold either.......the tv wasnt tuned in properly went:At the races,rte1,channel4,scrambled,haze and so on.everything was just too old and too shoddy.there were hairs all over the bathroom floor and holes in the towels and sheets......Now maybe if you are at a wedding near by and you fall in totally drunk and senseless you might sleep here,but even then i doubt it,paperthin walls,doors banging all round and even with the windows closed the curtain was still moving.......place should be knocked
oh by the way we left,COULD NOT stay the night,so one of went without our social drinks and drove home....never again

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights with friends, in order to see a little of ythe area. We found that the rooms were clean and quiet and the staff very friendly going out of thier way to help. We ate in the hotel 2 nights and found the food on the menu board rather than the set menu to be good value. Car parking was easy and it was a very short alk into Limerick. Overall I would say that this represents good value and would certainly recommend it to anyone

Spent two nights in the woodfield with my husband in June of this year and found it to be most enjoyable, the room rates were very good and we had a good time in the bar as the people were welcoming and friendly,staff were very friendly and informative and will definitely be staying there again.
