This was a while ago (2006). Just writing it now because recently became familiar with trip advisor. I had booked the B&B through Gulliver Booking. Because of a flight delay, we arrived at the house late evening (6pm or so). We were abruptly and rudely met by the owner who acted as if we were interlopers - asking us what we were doing there. Because we were late he had let someone who had come by and asked if there was a vacancy - apparently all the hotels were booked since there was a fair going on. Even knowing this, he didn't let us use a phone to try to find a place, but just kicked us out. I have never been treated in such a hostile fashion.

In any event, I would strongly advise not booking here as I can't imagine hospitality from this individual and you risk it not being honored.

I always read Trip Advisor where ever I travel to BUT never make any judgement till I have been myself.....the bad reviews do NOT hold any substance to this property what so ever.
I stayed 2 nights in this B&B with my boyfriend as we were travelling around Ireland on the motorbike & could NOT fault Marie & Pat or their home~which is what you are staying in NOR their dog whom didnt beg in anyway....those who have dogs as pets know that dogs will eat 24/7.
Their hospitality is way beyond what u get elsewhere & I would not hesitate to return & if I could have fitted 1 of the pillows on the bike then they would be minus 1 pillow as I have never slept on such comfortable pillows in my life......they were superb & I will be purchasing some for our bed.

Dog begging food at breakfast, not as welcoming and nice as the rest of the B&B's that we stayed in. Would not go back.

Marie, the proprietor, is as warm and friendly as you could possibly want. She makes you feel right at home and welcome as soon as you meet her. The room was quite nice as was the breakfast. Molly (the dog) was a joy but not intrusive. Got great travel advice and the location is great.
