“Fantastic Dining Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

I came to dine in Yindees restaurant with one of my friends here last Saturday evening. As I walked into the lobby I was totally taken aback by the beautiful decor and overall atmosphere of the hotel. The doorman was extremely friendly and welcoming, as expected from an Irish hotel. As I was being directed to the restaurant I was pleasantly distracted by some beautiful piano playing, as a musician I thoroughly enjoyed it and was even more pleased to realize that I would be able to listen to the music the whole way through my meal. The service was prompt and the food was exquisite to say the least. I felt so relaxed and my only qualm is that I didn't choose to stay here rather than my other hotel in the city. Next time I visit I will be sure to stay here!

“this is very nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

A little out of the city perhaps, about 15 minutes by car. Staff were excellent as was the turn-down service. Rooms were large well appointed and comfortable. The restaurant and bar were very good indeed. There is a leisure center with small pool, good hot tube and a very good steam room. This hotel is difficult to fault.

Room Tip: room near the lift wood be good

“Superb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Went to the Lyrath Estate last weekend for one night, I had read a few of the bad reviews so my expectations weren't too high. We were greeted by really helpful and friendly staff members at the check in desk, they offered to order a taxi for us as we told them we were going to the Keith Barry show down the road and they offered to take our bags to the room. The entrance of the hotel is huge and very impressive, there was a piano playing and a lovely atmosphere in the place. The bed room was huge and we had a beautiful view over the gardens, which I wasn't expecting as I had only booked it a day or two before. The leisure centre was fantastic, lovely pool, roasting hot jacuzzi and nice steam room. Everything in the hotel is pristine, the only thing I could fault is that at around 2pm we were feeling a bit hungry but the only thing we could eat was sandwiches which could only be delivered to the room. The sandwiches were lovely though and we should have had dinner to stop us from being hungry. All in all, I loved the hotel and had a great time, I cannot wait to go back and will definitely stay for a bit longer next time!

“Poor Services for business”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

Very disappointed with the poor wi fi ... Not available in rooms only in lobby .. It only works on one side of the bar. Eventhe lobby has poor signal .
This is not really great for a hotel used by business travellers. For a four star hotel and 95 euro for the night on a Monday you would expect this most basic of business needs. other than that can't fault the hotel. It is clean cosy modern and decorated very well.
There is not even a decent 3G signal but maybe they can not help this. I would stay here again.. But not for business,

“Chilly night and poor value”

Stayed overnight in the hotel on a package deal, but overall experiance did not provide value for money. So the positives: Beautiful location, spacious bedrooms, friendly (if overworked) staff. Now the negatives: Lunch was slow arriving which then meant we had to rush through dessert to avail of our beauty treatment in the Spa. Spa treatment was 20 mins long, not the 30 mins advertised. Spa was overcrowded and relaxation room was cold. Bedroom was cold, thermostat did not work, and with no extra bedding available, my room-mate and I ended up dressing in all our warmest clothes to try to get to sleep. When I complained in the morning I was told that I should have rung down (at 2 o'clock in the morning!?) and they would have fixed it. The assistant GM then claimed to have just visited my bedroom and that it was hot. When I went back to the room to collect a lost bag, I discovered the same arctic conditions in the room as when I had left.... am not impressed with that dishonest response from the hotel. Will not be returning.
