we are a late 50s couple who have grown to appreciate life and few places in the world match our idea of a good night out/ few days away nice meal few drinks meeting new people,plenty to do during the day within easy reach and the chance to stay in a hotel whos staff naturally exel in their efforts to ensure you are comfortable with facilitys to match. if somebody asked me to drop everything and go to say paris, rome ,greek island ,new york,dubai next weekend i would probably say great but i cant for what ever reason but ask me to go to kilkenny and stay in the rivercourt and i would

Stayed for two nights mon -tues with my two sons . Hotel is clean, room was good, had bar food on one of the nights very good,breakfast is good, pool area is very good only down side when you get out of pool changing room is freezing. Hotel is in a great location.

We stayed two nights on a mid week break and found the rivercourt an excellent hotel. It's location is perfect, right in the centre of Kilkenny. Bar food and the food in the restaurant was delicious and service brilliant. We also tried the Thai restaurant and would recommend it to everyone. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed, lovely view of the castle and bathrobes provided. We used the swimming pool and sauna which were clean and relaxing. Breakfast each morning was delicious, plenty of choice! The staff in this hotel were the friendliest staff we've ever encountered, very helpful and polite! We would recommend the rivercourt to everyone. Great place to stay!

My husband and I stayed for only one night but will definitely return for more! The service was excellent and the amenities lived up to expectations. Each member of the staff we encountered was friendly and efficient, from check-in, to dinner, to check-out. Our dinner was delicious in the attractive dining room. This location is ideal for enjoying the lovely city of Kilkenny. I really appreciated the non-smoking atmosphere throughout the hotel.
