Helen was so helpful and so nice. My wife got sick and Helen tried to find some cold medicine for her. When she couldn't she gave us directions to their chemist so we could get some. The breakfast was good and plentiful. She has tea and cookies available in the sitting room at all times. The only reason I gave Dunboy four stars instead of five is the location. It is a little away from the city center. However, this could also be a plus for some. It is VERY quiet. The only noise we heard was from other guests. Although it is outside of the city center, my wife and I were able to walk into town in about 15 minutes. Helen gave us a very clear map that she made herself that not only showed how to get into town, but also how to quickly and easily get to some of the better sights. So for us this was not an issue, but it could be for others. We had a great stay and it was a great value at 70 Euro for two people.

We had the pleasure of staying with Helen and Tony on a recent trip with my in-laws to Ireland. We stayed just one night and wish we could've stayed longer! Helen and Tony were both loads of fun and the perfect hosts. Helen even let us sort out some credit card issues on her phone while we were there! The home is lovely and our rooms were very comfortable and clean. The Irish Breakfast was OUTSTANDING! Dunboy is a bot of a walk into town, so depending on how much you like to walk, you may wish to drive. Helen directed us nicely to appropriate parking areas and also advised us for dinner selections. We chose Kyteler's Inn which was lovely! Thanks Helen and Tony for a wonderful stay!!

We visited Dunboy in July 2010 and stayed one night. Helen was very helpful in showing us what was good to look at in Kilkeny, and she directed us to a pub which had a great traditional Irish band the night we were there. It is a 15 minute walk from the old center of Kilkenny, through residential areas. Highly recommended.

Helen was very nice, a great host, very welcoming! She cooked a very tasty full Irish breakfast. The B&B is about a 15 minute walk from the center of town.
