Booked for us through a tour company. Rooms were pretty dumpy and old looking. It needs a serious face lift. Too many beds in one room, its not a dormitory, or a hostel, its supposed to be a bed and breakfast. Towels were dirty looking and had holes in them. Breakfast was o.k. I would not recommend this b&b.

Do not stay in this B & B. Myself and a friend booked one night in this place as we were meeting friends for a night out. On arrival - the parking was all gone. There were no tea & coffee making facilities in the room. The room was dark, old-fashioned and not what I would call clean. No shampoo or shower gel provided, the shower door kept jamming and the shower head was the opposite of a power shower. Around 3 am we were woken to people trying to gain access to our room, shouting, singing and having a party downstairs. We rang the owner who said she would attend to it. She yelled down the stairs at the guests who took no notice at all. Six times during the night people tried to get into our room, we slept very little. At 9.30 am the owner came banging on our door wanting to know did we want breakfast - needless to say we were far to tired. Again at 11.10 am the owner told us to hurry up and check out. On checking out I advised the owner that we were extremely disappointed and we were told she could do nothing about who comes into the B & B. She had no sympathy and told us she was up all night too. Very poorly run and maintained. My advice is steer clear!

Adequate accommodations; avoid a front room as the traffic is noisy and continuous all night long.

We stayed for a weekend,and although clean enough, this B&B's decor was a little stuffy and overbearing. The breakfast left a little to be desired, considering most B&B's offer a proper breakfast and not one sausage and an egg. That wasnt a problem until the last day when we didnt rise on time for the breakfast following a late night, and the owner proceeded to bang on our door several times to get us out of bed to eat the meagre breakfast provided.

Other than that Kilkenny was beautiful though, but I'd give this place a miss- even though it is conveniently located.
