“Bad business practice”

I booked this B&B, and then was forced to cancel my reservation because of travel delays. The company I booked through, Gulliver Ireland received an e-mail confirming the cancellation and I was only charged my deposit. Weeks later, Banville's themselves charged my card an additional 60euro without notice, even though they said the cancellation was fine. Poorly run, and not friendly at all. I would suggest another place to stay.

“A great place to start our trip!”

We booked this cute B&B sight unseen before arriving in Ireland and we were not disappointed! The hostess (Miriam) was very friendly and accomodating as well as very helpful in directing three very jet lagged girls around the city of Kilkenny. We were given a single and a double room and while snug, they were both very comfortable. The water pressure was a little light in the bathrooms, but that was really the only downfall to this B&B.

Breakfast was awesome, we had the best brown bread here that we tried on our entire trip and the black and white puddings were also better than most!

It is a 5 minute walk to the city center and some very fun bars and restaurants. Kilkenny Castle is about a 10 minute walk from there as is the crafts center near the castle (decent shopping).
