Found this place by chance-friend on a hen nite had stayed there. Booked in for 2 nights with my friend as we were heading to a wedding the the rivercourt hotel(just behind Flannery's). when we got there, was pretty surprised as we didn't realise just how central it was gonna be-right on the bridge, smack in the middle of the town. Parked in the car park for the weekend for 2 euro!!!
The rooms weren't 5 star, but then at 70 euro a nite for bed and breakfast in the middle of the town-we hadn't got high exxpectations. However, the rooms were spotless, had lockers, wardrobe, dressing table, en suite bathroom, mini heater(in case it was cold?!!) fresh towels, extra pillows etc. We were facing out onto the street, so there was the usual noise at 2am.
The guy behind the bar was telling us it's being done up too at the mo- rooms painted etc, so can only imagine what it'll be like after.
The brekkie the next morning was super, went down about half ten-thinking we might have missed brekkie, but within 10 mins, there was a full Irish breakfast, orange juice, toast and fresh coffee on our table.
We ended up eating there that afternoon too, had 'lemon chicken'' which was lovely too.... have to say I was pleasantly suprised, booked a nite for my aunts birthday in May. 11 of us going down, should be nice. Glad I found the place, the manager/owner 'Paul' was a lovely chap. Was very helpful with directions and places to go etc.
When I think that I almost spent 250 euro for 2 nights in the hotel up the road?!!! glad I found a nice spot and saved myself 110 euro :)
