Spanish Manager who walked away from us in a huff!

We stayed here for one night (wife and 2 young children). No bottled water in rooms, which was unusual. We asked for some water (as we have a months old baby) which we received late that night at no charge which was good. We were however charged €9 for two bottles of 250ml water in the morning - Apparently the room wasn't executive enough for water, or mini bar. So, we didn't use the water. Upon complaining about this charge to the manager (who was Spanish), we stood astonished as he actually walked away from us as we were checking out! Golden rule of hotel management: Be polite to your customers, however annoyed you are about a bottle of water! However, nice hotel, well set out, and waiter-delivered Hot breakfast (not a self-service) which was superb. No Swimming pool. Just be careful that you know the price of things before you buy them, especially when it comes via room service!

I recently stayed at this hotel and although it's comfortable, clean and close to Tralee towncentre I found the majority of the staff to be rather unfriendly. For whatever reason morale amongst them was very low.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed four nights in Fels Point Hotel. The room was lovely and spacious and cleaned to a high standard every day. Breakfast was nice, with a variety of fruit, pastries, cereals and different meats. And thank god , it was not a buffet like most hotels these days.!!!!!Hot breakfast was available on order!
I would highly recommend the restaurant down stairs for a very reasonably priced four course dinner. But if you want something a bit more casual, why not try the early bird menu. in the bar...only 15 Euro for a main course, dessert and tea/coffee!!
The only slight fault with the hotel was the fact that there is no swimming pool.., but don't let that deter you from visiting the Fels Point, as there is an Aqua Dome very close by, where you can splash about!!!

This is a lovely hotel with great big rooms in a good location, 10 minute walk to town centre. Food in restaurant is very good, staff are very friendly. I would stay here again.

I contacted the property and booked a fairly ok commercial rate.

I stayed on a Tuesday night in an executive suite and must say overall I am quite happy with the entire hotel. I have attached a number of picturs for you to see.

The room is quite big with a lot of empty space which could have been used for the bathroom which in comparison to the rest of the room was rather small.

From what I was told making the reservation the room is bigger, has fruit, flowers(orchid), water, bathrobes, CD/Radio/Mp3/Ipod player, and a large balcony with outdoor seating. The bed is extremely comfortable and I stay in many many hotels during the year(9 so far in 2009) and this has been the most comfortable bed so far.

I used the gym which has the usual equipment but not much of it. Two rowing, machines, 4 threadmills, and 6 walkers(amongst other equipment) is not much for a public/private gym. Still, the gym was not busy and I got my workout so i was happy. They loan you headphones but I decided not to use them because they have been used by many many people who surely have been sweating quite a lot.

I did not use the bar or the restaurant but did have breakfast in the main restaurant in the morning. The cold buffet is not lavious by any means but served its purpose for me. The hot breakfast looked appetising but I only have bacon and eggs. There is a good hot menu which has some breakfast items usually confined to more expensive hotels such as eggs benedict. I have asked for this in numerous hotels and told no.

The location is ok but not great. If you walk in one direction into town it will take around 25 minutes and the other direction towards town will take you near a council housing area which didnt look very appealing in the dark.

There is a cinema around 200 mtrs up the road, tennis courts and a swimming complex called Aquadome.

The staff was helpful and friendly, the rooms were big and comfortable and spotless. The internet connection is quite fast.

I would definately stay again.
