This place is well off the beaten track with no facilities within 15 minutes walk. We arrived and were asked to pay on arrival - we didn't but the guy on the desk seemed reluctant to accept this and was argumentative. On seeing our rooms the wallpaper was hanging off the walls, the curtains were two feet too long for the window and trailed onthe floor, there were cobwebs on the windows, the bed was at one side of the room but the wall-lights, which should have been above it, were at the other side, the toilet seat wobbled alarmingly, so much so that I dismantled it and tried to fix it myself, the wooden toilet seat was also cracked at the front, there was no toilet paper, there was no kettle and we weren't offered one when we asked.......need I go on. We decided to forego our deposit and did not stay. I am waiting to see if they charge me for a cancellation as they threatened. I have some interesting photos for the Irish Tourist Board if they do!
