My husband and stepson stayed here for three nights. We ate in the bar for two night and had lovely food and great service. The breakfast was very good and lots of it! There was safe parking around the rear of the hotel which was very good as parking in Tralee is a nightmare. It is close to the centre of Tralee, my stepson went to a few of the bars and was made very welcome.

I had stayed at this hotel a number of years ago, so was looking forward to a return stay on attending a function at the hotel.
On arrival I was greeted by a surly receptionist but as I was late checking in I put it down to the fact she was having a bad day. On entering my room I was horrified to see the bedcover was completely covered in stains. I thought about asking for another room, especially when I realised I was sharing with two bluebottles but as I was already late meeting people for dinner I just took the bedcover off. When I met my companions, who were also staying in the hotel, their first comment was the stained bedcover in their room also. Very poor. On checking out the next morning I was greeted by the same receptionist with the same surly attitude. I was very disappointed with my stay given that this hotel used to have a good name. May be useful for those on a budget that don't mind a dirty bed and unfriendly service.

Recently spent a night in the Brandon as I was attending a graduation ceremony there the following morning. The Brandon has quite a reputation of being a great place to stay and I have seen it listed as highly rated as 4 stars.
The bedroom was so average and bland that you'd be forgiven fro thinking that you were in a Travelodge built in the late 1980's. I believe in this day and age it is unacceptable to push 2 single beds together and call it a double bed. The Brandon Hotel thinks differently.
I was annoyed with myself for forgetting my swimming togs but when I say the stains on the abrasive brown bedspread I though maybe I had dodged a bullet.

The breakfast was quite nice and the conference facilities were also nice but seriously this place needs a serious renovation. I wouldn't stay here again.

Stayed for two nights during the summer, on a supervalue break. Priced the hotel outside of the offer and it seems overpriced.
Nice size comfortable room but it needs an update badly. Staff very nice and helpful, food was good but pricey as well. One of the indian waiters was very nice and chatty, and we had to endure a drunken couple literally abuse this guy, which he handled very well.
A nice warm but small swimming pool kept our 9yr old happy for a while. Overall i would stay here again but would definitely have to get an offer to make it value for money.
