Shraheen House would have to be considered one of our most memorable B&B experiences. Maureen is a most capable host who conjures up magnificent breakfasts with her own baking variations each day. Our lodging was tastefully decorated with artistic flair and all of this comes with the warm Irish hospitality, clever humour and great advice on the local area.

We stayed with Maureen in a delightful and beautifully presented B & B. We were very comfortable and Maureen was a wonderfull host. Maureen's breakfast was special and was beautifully presented.

Absolutely wonderful B&B! All breads, muffins and scones home baked. The breakfasts were fabulous, much better than any other we had in Ireland. Maureen makes delicious coffee, also by far the best we had. There was good variety at breakfast and the food was tasty and beautifully presented. Everything in the bedroom you could want was provided including extra pillows, throw blanket, etc. Towels were way above average -- very thick and oversize.

In addition, the hostess, Maureen, was very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations for restaurants; helped plan activities and even booked another B&B for us. I was feeling poorly and Maureen knocked at our door one afternoon with warm, home made muffins. We were not going to stay in Killarney but friends recommended Shraheen House and we were so happy they did! We would definitely repeat our stay here!

Of all the b and b we had in our five days in Ireland maureen's Shraheen house in Killarney gets our thumbs up. The entire house and surrounding grounds are maintained to an immaculate standard both in cleanliness as well as good taste, nothing cheap or tacky god forbid. A feminine and artistic touch is evident throughput the entire house. Many thoughtful extras like milk and cookies, hairdryer, toiletries basket. The ensuite was small but scrupulously clean, and everything worked with no exceptions. The breakfasts ate truly well worth waking up early for. We particularly enjoyed the smoked salmon with scrambled eggs as well as the fruit platter with yogurt. All generously portioned and served with pride. It has been rated 4 stars by the AA, I would go one step further and give Maureen and her husband 5 stars. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to Many happy returns!:)
