My best friend and I stayed 5 days at Eloyd House in late October while visiting the south western part of Ireland. Mary and Derry were the warmest and most gracious hosts we have experienced in two separate visits to Ireland. The rooms were bright, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We had a rough start to our trip in Ireland but were completely renewed and our faith restored after spending several days at Elyod. Mary suggested some wonderful choices for dinner and we chose to go to the Bricin, The Laurels, and the Killarney Park Hotel. All of her recommendations were brilliant! Mary also helped us plan our routes around the mountains and into Cork City; even assisting with arrangements for us to do a bus tour of the Ring of Kerry (recommended). Wished we had been able to see more of Killarney and will definitely make sure to stay longer with Mary and Derry on our next trip. Would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Killarney.

My husband and I were thankful we found the Elyod House B&B in Killarney. The rooms were immaculate, there was a choice of tasty breakfasts, and the Hosts, Mary and Derry were friendly and very helpful about area attractions and food spots. We were hikers, so Derry's input was helpful. Both kindly dropped us of at places to hike or recommended ways of getting to good hiking trails. They also have a very capable, friendly housekeeping staff. An added bonus, the beds were comfortable and it was quiet for sleeping. One could not go wrong staying here, just a 5-10 minute walk from downtown Killarney.

Just returned from Ireland and this b&b was one of our favorite stays in three weeks of travel. We traveled with another couple and they concur re. Elyod. Clean, well-appointed rooms with excellent breakfasts and our host even came into town our first day to pick up our luggage so we could walk around town a bit. She also drove us into town to avoid a rainstorm and gave us a lift to the train on our last morning. Definitely above and beyond the call of duty. Mary is delightful and a bundle of energy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The breakfast was delicious, and the house was close to downtown Killarney - just a few minutes' walk. We enjoyed the dining and shopping, and recommend both Corkery's and Danny Man.
