This was the first stop of four nights in Ireland at different houses. By far this was the best place we stayed at. The home was very clean and all of the rooms were generous in size. We had a great breakfast and the family running the b and b was great too. If we had the opportunity we would of stayed more nights. A must stay if you want to visit the ring of kerry and dingle, very centrally located between the two. If you are looking for a great restaurant/pub go to the Moorings in Portmagee.

We stayed here for one night in April, and had a very good stay. Podge showed us to our room in the front of the Georgian part of the house. which was nicely decorated with a small ensuite, and gave us some tips on places to eat in the area. The location is very convenient - just off the main road between Killorglin and Milltown - but far enough away from the road to be peaceful. All this plus an excellent breakfast adds up to a recommendation from me.

Since 2000, I have stayed at the Kilburn House Farmhouse B & B 5 times. Every time I arrive I am immediately reminded of why I love it so much, and why I keep coming back. The location is the perfect home base for any day trip you'll take in the SW of Ireland (Dingle, the Skelligs, even Blarney) and especially for enjoying the beauty of the greater Killarney area. The accommodations are the best I've ever seen. The rooms are all huge en suites, well decorated, and absolutely spotless. Most importantly, the beds are comfortable and I always get a great nights sleep. The sitting room and dining room are charming as well. The food is superb, Gret is a wonderful cook. She offers a large selection for breakfast, including a full Irish breakfast (which you can't find in every B&B!) and her dinners are delicious (definitely worth dining in). Finally, the family is amazing! Podge, Gret, and their kids, are the kindest people you'll find in Ireland. They're so knowledgeable about the area and always willing to help with anything you can think of.
I've stayed in a lot of different B&Bs over the years, and nothing has ever compared to the Kilburn House. Guests get the best of everything, I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Podge and Gret have created a beautiful bed and breakfast that is perfectly suited for a family visit to the Ring of Kerry area. We travelled with three children and four adults. Our three rooms were charming, comfortable, and all that we needed. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and filling. Their children were pleasant and engaging and Bailey (the dog) was a sweetheart as well. Our children (and we) did not want to leave this beautiful part of the world!
