We stayed at 6 B&Bs on our trip and found that they were all above average and all were immaculate - two, including the Northwood House, even had white beadspreads! Our family room had a humongeous bathroom with tub and enough extra space to host four for bridge.

Other reviewers have both complimented and panned the location. I'd say its about a mile, maybe a little more, from the town center - some would call that walkable, others would not. We were tired and took our car to town, in Kilkenny, we walked a similar distance. It's on a nice, quiet residential street.

too far from town , we did not have a car and were lead to beleive this house was close to town, poor breckfast and no hot water ,

This house is in a residential area far enough from town center and up a hill that it is not a good location if you don't have a car. We stayed in the associated apartment that is farther down the street.
There is no phone in the unit. Additionally, we experienced a strong kerosene smell in the apartment. However, it was decently furnished and clean. The breakfast is basic and acceptable.

We stayed for two wonderful nights at Northwood House. The house was beautifully decorated and Ms. Lawlor was a gracious and friendly host.
The breakfasts were amazing! In addition, the house is within walking distance of downtown Killarney, so it was easy to get into town for sightseeing. I would recommend it to anyone!
