“Love The Staff! xxxx”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 April 2011

Okay well this is an amazing hotel all in all, the rooms weren't the warmest I would have to say but they don't need to be with the sun at this time of year, I started with this because this is the only critisism I could make.
I mainly went to the 'Acorn Bar' throughout my stay and I have to say the staff are some of the loveliest people you will ever meet, I remember the ones that where on are called Nina, Karen, Paul, Tom, Jennifer and Neringa. They where all so kind and could have fun in the workplace whilst getting the things done that they needed to do. This presented a great atmosphere and Karen and Nina are definatly the mischevious ones there. Great nights and would stay there again, after the long drive from Dublin the warm bar and the cosy atmosphere was well welcomed x

Room Tip: Relax and enjoy your time there your lucky :P x

“BATHROOM A HEALTH HAZARD!!!!!!!!!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 April 2011

in all the hotels ive stayed at ive never been compelled to right a review before but having gone through wat i did here i just had to WARN EVERYONE!!!!

we are a young couple who stayed at this hotel for one night. after a long drive from Dublin i got straight into the shower to which the soap dispenser fell off the wall and i slipped on it and banged my head against the wall!!!! following this shock i was getting out of shower wen i slipped on the floor because the shower curtain is no where long enough to keep the water in the bath!!!!!! the floor was SOAKING WET!!!!!!!!!!!

my partner convinced me not to complain at this point so we went to enjoy the sights of killarney. having returned from a long refreshing climb up a mountain a long relaxing soak in the bath was in order- unfortunately realxation was the last thing i was going to get!!!!!!!!!!!
the bar on the bath to help u into the water was broken and as soon as i touched it, it came off the bath to which i fell with a huge splash into the roasting hot water!!!! the bar was obviosly lose for a long time and had been attached to some very dodgy looking NAIL!!!!
further to this annoyance wen i pulled the stopper out a huge clump of womens hair came from the drain and ended up on my FACE!!!!!!! this was the last straw totally and had me extremely upset (i may add there were no females staying in the room).

upon going to reception at breakfast time to tell the receptionist, i was informed by a very uninterested girl that a manager will not be in the hotel until after 12 (rather convenient considering check out is this time).

like i said iv never written a bad complaint in my life after all the hotels ive stayed in but simply had to tell my fellow readers to be warned of wat to expect from this hotel!!!!!!!!

on a good note the breakfast was lovely and the bed was very comfortable, for this ONLY do i give this place something slightly above lethal death hazard status!!!!!!!!!!

“A taste of Ireland at it's best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2011

Just back from 2 nights stay in Killarney oaks hotel. I am delighted to write a fan review. Beautiful hotel , very spacious , clean, comfortable room . The dinner menu was great and my steak was unforgettable . The hotel staff are second to none . Karen from Cavan was so welcoming and friendly . Paul from cork , so friendly and helpful , and a lovely night porter from Liverpool again helpful and friendly. The hotel is situated next to the INEC and we look forward to a return visit . Well done guys and keep up the good work . You fulfilled the warm friendly reputation of the Irish .

“Amazing Staff, made this an amazing hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2011

I stayed here for 2 nights with my daughter, my sister & her daughter. Everything about this hotel was just perfect. The food, the bar, the rooms and most importantly the staff. More than helpful and very friendly.
We had dinner on both nights and have to say it was 5*, cooked to perfection and more than ample. Our kids left clean plates, and the amazing desserts were mouth watering!
A special mention has to be to "Karen", from Cavan originally, but so friendly and welcoming. A fantastic asset to this hotel, I stay in hotels quite often due to my husbands occupation, and cant compare her personality, hospitality and most importantly her professional ability and helpful manner to any manager/staff member I have come in contact with. The night porter--James, was also brilliant, helpful and very friendly.
Overall this hotel gets my BIG thumbs up, will definetly be coming back.
