“Loved it here!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

My friend and I started off our Ireland adventure in Killarney. From the booking until we left, we felt like home at the Glenn Fia. Conor welcomed us and showed us to our room. We had a great night's sleep and in the morning, we were treated to a breakfast fit for a queen! Conor sat down with us and mapped out what we needed to see on our way through the area. The home was very cosy and we absolutely loved it here. It felt like sleeping over at a relative's house and then having coffee in the morning with them. The view was superb and it was very tranquil there. I highly recommend this establishment to everyone.

Room Tip: Any room here is veryt quiet. You are set back from the road and the B&B itself is on a very qui...

“Great stay in Killarney”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 November 2011

My daughter and I spent 1 night at Gleann Fia and loved it. Lovely ambiance. Comfortable accommodation. Beautiful antiques. But most importantly of all, we were very appreciative of our gracious host, Connor who was very helpful and a mine of information. He clearly wants his guests to get as much out of their trip as possible. Our night in Killarney at his guest house was a great start to our holiday in Ireland and very memorable.

“"wonderful people make you very welcome"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

We were a party of 40 women with a age range of 18 to 70, we were staying 2 nights at Gleann Fia Country House. The hospitality from Conor and Bridget was excellent!! They couldn't do enough for us making us feel at home. The communication was excellent before we even arrived at Gleann Fia. Conor gave me recommendations for coach company's to pick us up from the airport and also restaurants who would cater for a party of 40 and when we needed transport to the centre of town Conor arranged it at a reasonable price.
The grounds in which Gleann Fia stand are beautiful and there are even wellington boots you can borrow if you need too (these little touches make it perfect). The bedrooms were spacious and very clean. The breakfast was very nice and Bridget's homemade jam was lovely (she even gave me the recipe). The first morning for breakfast we couldn't all sit together as there was so many of us, but on the second morning Bridget and Conor made sure we were all seated together.
We are hoping to return to Gleann Fia next year as we enjoyed ourselves so much and feel we couldn't get anywhere better in Killarney.

“Beautiful Spot - Wonderful Hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

My friends and I only stayed 1 night at Gleann Fia, but that's all it takes to know that this is a home where you want to return. Bridget and Connor are wonderful hosts - couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. The grounds are absolutely beautiful - the breakfast is wonderful (along with Bridget's homemade rasberry jam). It's not the easiest place to find, but it's so worth the finding!!

“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2011

We stayed for two nights on our first trip to Killarney since the mid 90s. The Gleann Fia was a change from the rather packaged atmosphere of the town and the owners and staff are pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good. The bedroom was a bit small but spotless and the bed was comfortable. The garden and surroundings are pleasant. It is located a little outside the town but the centre of Killarney is readily accessible (and in the evening at least parking is good). We had stayed away from Killarney for a long time because we had always found it very commercial and not very enjoyable. To our slight surprise it is spotless (and now officially the tidiest town in Ireland). The Jarveys are almost polite. The Muckross estate is a must visit. Oh and Quinlan's chipper in the High St has the best fish and chips in the country.
