We traveled all over Ireland during the month of September and Abbey Lodge was the only B&B/Guest House that we chose to visit twice during our month-long stay. Like everyone who visits Killarney, we fell in love with this charming, vibrant town. We will never forget its friendly pubs, restaurants, jaunty rides, shopping and Irish beauty. Abbey Lodge was recommended to us by a B&B owner in Galway based on input she had received from her guests over the past few years. We were so grateful for her recommendation. Abbey Lodge turned out to be ideally located in easy, super-easy walking distance to the wonderful shopping, restaurants’ and pubs in Killarney town. Our rooms were spacious, clean, attractive and very nicely furnished. The breakfasts were superb, offering a choice of three or four different menu combinations which everyone in the dining room raved about. Abbey Lodge has two comfortable guest lounges which are equipped with computers for complimentary use by its guests. The staff and its proprietor John King, bent over backwards to assist us with recommendations, directions, even gave me some Internet genealogy links when I expressed interest in our Irish family roots. Abbey Lodge was a really good experience.
