Our family stayed here for 3 days recently. 2 adults, 3 kids - 10yrs, 6yrs, and 10mths. First impression on approach from Cork side is that it was a bit run down, but this is deceiving. Some parts of the building look quite old and could do with makeover. Other parts are more modern and clean. Overall its a fairly good hotel and well maintained. We booked a suite which has separate bedroom with one single and one double bed. The lounge area also had a double bed. The lounge also contained a sitting room area and kitchenette. It was compact but comfortable. The kids activities were very good, very well organised and the staff were enthusiastic, especially Robert. There was a wide range of activities, from an animal roadshow to an inflatable obstacle course. Kids loved it. The leisure club is excellent, clean changing rooms, the pool is a bit cold. There was entertainment in the hotel nightly. The food was good, good variety too. Breakfast was a buffet style and very tasty. Yes, there is a lot of families and some kids take full advantage of the vast maze of corridors. We went there to chill out and relax, and enjoy some quality family time. And thats exactly what we did. I would recommend this as a great family hotel. Staff were very helpful and obliged any request. And Killarney is a great spot, very touristy and a great buzz around.
