returned to clayton for weekend. with my husband.minus the 3 kids this time.just love galway .been to this hotel 3 times .management have changed over the years..but the staff are fab ,stephine receptionist was excellent.we received a upgrade to a suite, due to pool being closed for repair of a pump..also we came on a super valu hotel sale deal.which was a fab offer.we also received free breakfast for our stay.what more could a person ask for.all the staff in this hotel are always polite .helpful.the bar staff keith ,michael,make great cocktails and pints.had bar food also it was lovley and presentation of foof was excellent.our weekend was made brilliant by everyone in the hotel.thank u all so much.

We stayed for two nights in January - staff was wonderful and helpful. We decided to stay in our first night due the loads of traveling we had already done. Food was great, service was great. It's a quick cab ride to downtown Galway and the cab service was outstanding. Beds were comfy and the rooms quite clean.

This was our 2nd stay at the Clayton Hotel in the beautiful city of Galway on the mid west coast of Ireland.

We arrived for a 4 night break over the New Year period and what a wonderful time we had. The Clayton Hotel is everything you need for a completely relaxing holiday. The facilities at this hotel are first class, the staff friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We had a lovely room which was cleaned to a very high standard every day. The food in the bar and restaurant was excellent. Entertainment was laid on in the evenings which was marvellous and very much appreciated.

Galway is a lively city with great pubs, restaurants and shops. (indoor shopping centres when the weather is inclement) The surrounding area, especially Connemara, has absolutely breathtaking scenery with plenty of interesting places to visit and ample things to do.

Have already booked a return visit taking in St. Patrick's Day (my birthday) and we are looking forward to the city parade and festivities, and of course the unequalled "Irish Hospitality"

Booked this hotel for a weekend getaway and i have to say i was very impressed. Excellent staff and a myriad of additional options to choose from when booking the room, flowers, champagne, spa treatments ect.. My girlfriend got a massage and loved it. We were going to eat in the restaurant but went with the bar food instead and we were not dissapointed. The food is really amazing. Loved it.
