when we finally found the place, no one was around to greet us. it took 45 minutes for the door to be answered and we were only 15 minutes early to check in. this was not fun with a toddler in tow.
we were finally ushered in to our room- #27. looked good upon quick glance. closer look . . .ripped lamp shade, broken window blinds, peeling paint. the bathroom- tub backed up and we showered in standing water- Eww!, was difficult to get out of the shower/tub due to the 1/2 door and the tight proximity to the sink and toilet. the bathroom didn't have ventilation- no window or fan so it stayed damp and cold.
the breakfast area is really nice. the breakfast was small but we are small people so ok for us.
reception- one out of two were very nice and helpful.
we peeked into some other rooms and they looked nice enough upon glance too. the exterior front is very pretty- greenery crawling up the walls.
i have stayed in some very dodgy hostels but my standards are much higher when traveling with the child.
