Stayed here twice now once last year in august & again in april this year. Both times were great with lovely rooms & well kept. Breakfast on both mornings were great & good selection. Anything we had questions on breege & noel was able to answer for us. Both times stayed was for friends birthdays which were special occasions & this b+b defintly guaranteed this. Only 5mins away from city centre with buses travelling in & out every 15mins only minute walk from b+b to bus stop. Willl be looking to return again sometime next year. Genuine lovely people.

We had difficulty finding accommodations in Galway and this was not necessarily our first choice being a little disance from the city centre. We were therefore not really expecting much and were very pleasantly surprised. While one of our rooms was a little small, the other was very large and pleasant. The B&B was accesible and a short cab or bus ride downtown. The breakfast room was pleasant, the meal good and the owners good hosts.

While driving cross-country throughout Ireland this past holiday season, my wife and I stayed in many different hotels. I had always heard that to truly see Ireland, you must stay in a Bed and Breakfast, meet the locals, and eat their food. We stumbled upon the Abacus Bed and Breakfast while driving through Galway, and this place was absolutely perfect. The staff was extremely friendly, and even called the local pubs to see if there was traditional music being performed anywhere. (They recommended An Pucan, which was a great little pub, too). The breakfast was good in the morning, too. Next time we are in Galway (which I wish would be sooner than later!) we will look them up again.

I definitely recommend. Everything was perfect. From the free Internet, free parking, amazing breakfast and courteous staff, we couldn't have asked for more.
