Lovely B&B. Very quiet. Bedroom very cosy. Very small bathroom but clean.
People very nice (they collected us in Eyre Square). Cup of tea on arrival. Full Irish breakfast perfect...

I found this B&B to be a lovely, well kept premises down a tree lined small private road off the main Dyke Road in Galway. The house is in it's own private cul de sac along with 3 other private houses. The area is very peaceful and quiet but at the same time it is just a 15 minute walk from the bussle of the Headford road area and its shopping centres or another 10 minutes will have you in Eyre Square and the heart of Galway city. If you don't fancy the walk taxi's are plentiful (they will be happy to order one for you) and there is a bus stop just up the road. The house is immaculate and as i said peaceful which is just what i wanted. I have been in plenty of places where the noise and traffic outside have kept me awake at night. Breakfast was lovely and served in the conservatory with the sunshine streaming in. I would recommend it to anyone who wants peace and quiet while having easy access to the hub bub of the City. Rooms come with all the usuals, on suite, tv etc and Patricia will be only too happy to help in any way she can. I'll be back again when I'm in Galway next.

The Woodberry Cottage was a suitable B&B in the Galway area, reasonably priced, and located within a 15-20 minute walk to Galway city center. The room was clean and the proprietors were professional and kind. Despite all these positive attributes, we probably wouldn't stay there again.

It was a little difficult booking the B&B and gathering info as they do not have email or a web addy. (I found them via the Family Homes of Ireland web site: ----) And getting directions over the phone was an exercise in frustration. The house felt incredibly small and quiet -- like our very breathing could be overheard by the owners. The whole experience felt a bit neutral/cold. We even felt a bit intrusive for using the phone. I think this one boils down to a matter of taste or preference. It was a perfectly acceptable B&B, but with so many to choose from in the Galway area, we'll probably look elsewhere the next time through.
