stayed here Sunday 11th Dec 2011 ... The Staff were ok but the rooms .. my god..... T.V outdated and didnt work the shower didnt work so I had to leave Without a Shower.The bed was not comfortable and the Noise was bad.
After all that I didnt even chance the food. They need more staff .

Dated Rooms are very basic. Remote control doesn't work on the 20yr old tv. Constant noise outside means you can't get a sleep.Double Beds are like concrete and would barely fit a large man. Shower is hit and miss for hot water. The staff are nice enough.This place is perfect if your on a drinking session but do not stay here if your wanting a relaxing break or any kind of luxury.

I resided for 3 nights in Garveys with a friend, the room was clean and warm and had a nice window onto the square. We liked the staff, very polite and helpful with our questions. Breakfast is good but too much for me in the morning time. O loved the pub and the music nights, especially the open mic and other places are very near. I wish to go back again.

Stayed here around three weeks ago. Horrible experience. poky room right on one of the busiest streets in galway..very noisy. Returned on my first night and was told that I wasnt staying there (having already checked in earlier that day), had to argue with an arrogant staff member for around 20 mins before I persuaded him to ring the member of staff who had been working earlier in the day and whom I had dealt with. NO HOT WATER in my room the following morning, complained about this and on the second morning still no hot water in the shower. Unhelpful staff and a hotel where every corner has been cut. never again..one to be avoided.
