“Excellent place to stay in Galway!”

A beautiful bed and breakfast to stay in, St. Judes is lovely both inside and outside. Our room was located on the front of the building, furnished with exquisite antiques, nice bathroom, very comfortable bed, quiet room and excellent breakfast in the morning in a charming dining room. Everything is spotlessly clean. The entire house is filled with wonderful antiques and art. There were nice sitting rooms too to visit with other guests. Although the owners were not overly friendly, this is an excellent place to stay. The building is a wonderful location - we were easily able to walk to restaurants, the water, and downtown. Excellent value.

Room Tip: All the rooms we saw looked very nice, but it was fun having a room looking out on the street.

“FREEZING!”

A mix up in our tour arrangements and we arrived a day late. Tony told us we were in luck and could still stay for 2 nights and would "work something out" for the night they held the room. After getting the bags in the room we asked Tony where we could find a pharmacy since I was under the weather and needed medicine. Got up during the night and found the heat had been turned off. I woke sicker than ever. They turn the heat on for a couple hours in the evening and then off all night. The room was like a meat locker by morning. After a second night of NO heat I was feverish and very ill. I could not shake the chill. It ruined the rest of visit in Ireland. The breakfast was good but nothing special. The room and bathroom were spotless. As we checked out, we were hit with a full charge for the night we missed even though it said it was "discounted". In my early emails w/ Ita she quoted the room prices before she realized we would be using vouchers from a tour. The night we did not stay, they did not have to clean the room, make or change the bed, nor supply breakfast, so a discount from full price would have been appropriate. I would not recommend this place in COLD weather.

We are very disappointed that this guest did not enjoy their stay or advise us, or any other member of the staff, at any stage during their visit that they were cold - both Sinead, our daughter, and myself were at home each evening. If they had done so we would have shown them that each room has an individual heater and instructed them on how to use it, where they needed help in that regard. The clients got their dates wrong and arrived a day late with no phone call or communication on the expected arrival date. We had already advised a discounted rate based on a multi-night stay and that is what we charged. In the circumstances we do not feel it was in any way excessive.

“Beautiful home!”

We stayed in this gorgeous home for 3 nights. The sheets on the beds were so soft. I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The house was spotless and the morning breakfast had a huge selection and was delicious. It's a brisk 20 minute walk to the City Centre. However, there is a bus stop directly in front of the house that runs about every 15-30 minutes. Salthill is only a 5-10 minute walk from this home. Try dinner at the Gourmet Tart - the food is excellent. We were fortunate enough to catch a night at Lohan's were local muscians could come and play. Over 30 showed up the night we were there. Really enjoyed my stay at this bed and breakfast. Rates were extremely reasonable.

My mother and I stayed here last month. We did not have a reservation so were lucky to find accommodation for two nights. Donal was very helpful and friendly. The room was super clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Highly recommend this B&B.

“Very nice & cozy room.”

The room was clean, and pretty straight forward. The bathroom was clean and in good shape. Comfortable bed and nice place overall. The breakfast was good, but the lady serving it didn't seem too friendly. It was a nice room but the most impersonal of all the B&B's that we stayed at, which may not be a big deal if you don't want to chat with the owner. We didn't mind, but it did stand out. The breakfast was really good and the breakfast rooms were nicely appointed. We were in room 5 and thought it was alright. You'd have to make a long walk like 1/2 mile back into town to go to the pubs...which we did.
