The place is centrally located and very modern so looks nice. But staff were quite gruff and not particularly welcoming nor helpful. WiFi only works in the common areas. The kitchen is large and there are a few siderooms to try find quieter space to hang out.

We stayed in an 8 bed which the 4 bunk beds filled up. No space to put luggage and no safes in the room (there are ones at reception). There were individual lights by the beds which was great, but only 2 sockets. There was a shower and toilet ensuite in the room...lucky as the girls bathroom was along a hallway, through a few doors and down a floor! The showers in the girls bathroom had see through doors and no room for you to dry off without being in the open.
You have to press a button to turn the water on in the shower...which turned off after 20 or 30 seconds which got frustrating. Had a bad sleep from uncomfortable bed and noisy room mates.

This has been the best hostel I ever stayed in! As I'm working in the hospitality industry myself I had high expectations to the sleepzone and they have all been met without any exceptions! I was amazed how clean the hostel is and all the facilities they have. Even it was the Easter weekend it was still very good value especially for what they give you and where the hostel is located. The staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. The hostel is very well run by Paraic, a great manager! The hostel will get even better as they will rebuild the kitchen area in a few months time! Also a plus for the hostel is the free wifi. I'm already now looking forward to returning there!!!

Sleepzone is one of the cleanest and more modern hostels I have stayed in.
We stayed in a double ensuite which was very comfortable and clean although it was a bit cold in our room.
The kitchen/lounge area is great! Free wifi and plenty of space to prepare meals and eat as well as quite zones with couches and chairs.
All the staff were friendly from the day we arrived and were more than happy to help with advice and recommendations.
Will be recommending sleepzone to anyone who is going to Galway :)

Had a good time in Sleepzone. The place is extremely clean (apart from the foul smell, couldn't figure it out from where but not that bad and it came occasionally.) Good value for money. Big enough space in the kitchen to cook and big space for dining. Cosy corner with sofa for reading and stuff like that. Friendly staff, who helped me to call the laundrette before I went over, to check if it opens.

Overall, it is a good place to stay. No doubt about it. Worth for your money.
