“Wonderful Wedding Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

The Ardilaun was our venue for our wedding reception, and from start to finish they were wonderful and catered for everything we wanted and had great ideas of things that we might want.
On the day the staff were fantastic every single one, and every guest at our wedding said the same, they couldn't believe how great the food was, how fast the service was and that the hotel itself was fabulous.

Great comfortable rooms, super room service also. A lot of people went for breakfast towards the end of service and all commented on how great the breakfast was, still so fresh and the staff were still aiming to help in any way they could.

There is a fantastic gym, pool and beauty area in the hotel, it is very close to Salthill and a short drive into Galway city.

Will definitely return.

“Just gets better ... Highly recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

Stayed with my sister and 5 year old niece on Saturday night last. Last time I stayed was in 2009 but then did not dine in the restaurant ... this time I did and I was so glad ... fabulous ... completely exceeded what I expected from a hotel restaurant and they offer a great deal too at the moment to include a bottle of wine. Outstanding. The dining room was really busy and I am not at all surprised.

Before dinner we relaxed in the very comfortable foyer, enjoying a drink from the bar.

The room we stayed in was really nice - overlooking the beautiful gardens it was clean and spacious with all the mod cons (and a DVD player which my niece was delighted about).

Unfortunately we had to check out early on Sunday so did not get to enjoy time in the leisure club or treat ourselves to to a nice treatment in the beauty salon ... next time for sure we will.

I would highly recommend this hotel ... not our first and not our last visit ... will not be as long before we return

Room Tip: I have stayed twice. Very happy with my room each time

“Excellence... nothing else!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

Being a Galwegian, I have only ever stayed a handfull of nights over the years in the Ardilaun, Any night we did stay it was superb. however we recently enjoyed a family function in the hotel. The staff are simply superb. While I appreciate that all the staff have input, in my experience, one must single out John and Tom for particular praise, both at the recent function, and our wedding a few years back, it was obvious that they are professional to the core but with a personal touch that is unparalelled. The quality of food is superb, the location is excellent and the facilities are second to none. Highly recommended.

“Dream Wedding”

I cannot say enough about the service and staff in the Ardilaun. They made wedding planning very easy, and the day itself could not have been better. They took care of everyone, the food was excellent, the rooms were very comfortable, the bridal suite was exceptional.......
Service was impeccable but very discreet, and everyone from receptionists to waiting staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. There are beautiful grounds out the back for chilling out and for photos.
The hotel itself is full of old world charm, very cosy and opulent without being ostentatious.
I would like to mention Maria and Mairín in particular for all their attention, help and professionalism, but especially Orla for her up-beat attitude, her abilty to quell pre-wedding jitters and her willingness to answer the oh-so-frequent questions with good humour and alacrity.
Everyone loved the wedding, the food, the setting.........thumbs up all round!
Go raibh míle maith agaibh!

“Lovely New Year Break!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

Must mention Anna who checked us in..wish all hotels had staff like her and also Ali who was a great help to me when booking my break...Thanks Anna & Ali.
Great room (106) walk out onto the garden which was a bonus for our dog- although 15 euro per night for the dog was a bit expensive )please take note Ardilaun after all we are in a recession?) But apart from that the service and food is totally Fantastic...great warm spacious rooms, very clean although room maid had not left any milk in room for our arrival,
so hubby went to reception and was given a jug of milk so no problem really.great buffet breakfast loads to chose from although a lot of smokers outside (Wedding on NYE night the staff kept the whole area spotless ..This was our 3rd visit to this hotel and wont be our last!

Room Tip: Rooms 100 to 106 have garden access from Balcony for Dogs.
