Although it is said that it's a 10 minute walk to the city centre it's more closer to 20 minutes. My wife and I are also fast walkers. The room was a little on the small side but adequate. The breakfast was one of the better ones we had in three weeks in Ireland with a good selection of cheeses and breads. Good value for your stay in Galway.

“Great Location, Great Hosts!”
Really enjoyed our stay with Pat & Helena.
Hearty Breakfast & very comfortable rooms
set us up for the day touring Galway City.
Helena helped us organise laundry & the location
is central for walking.
Pat,must have been those big hearts we spoke
about in the win over the Aussies in the Cup.
Great result!!

“Great place to stay in Galway”
My wife and I stayed at Clochard for our first 2 nights in Ireland. This B&B is conveniently located. It's about a 10 minute walk from downtown Galway. The room was clean, well kept and attractive. The owners, Pat and Helena are very nice. Breakfast was delicious.

“Lovely Luxurious Family run Bed/ Breakfast short walk to City Centre very convenient”

We stayed 6 nights in Clochard B&B Pat and Helena was wonderful hosts
Helena organised all tours for us on arrival Cliff of Moher was great tour
We hadn't to worry about any thing we were so well cared for.
They sent us to St Nicholas Church they had wonderful session of Irish music
Great Breakfast lovely selection from breakfast menu home baking and home made jam.
Rooms beautiful decorated very modern and so clean lovely and cosy Great nights sleep
We enjoyed our short walk from the City Centre after our meal. They have computer for guest swell as Wi-Fi
We will be back to Clochard next year and thank you and Pat and Helena for the lovely stay and making our holiday enjoyable
