My husband and I have just returned from a night in this hotel and we had a wonderful stay. We arrived at 4pm and were very impressed with the decor and ambience of the hotel. There's a real old world feel about it but it's very clean and modern, if you know what I mean! We had a voucher for the nights stay, which was a christmas present from my sister, and it included a free room upgrade, subject to availability. On entering our room we were dissapointed that it wasn't a sea view, though the room itself was lovely, if not a bit dark as the view was straight out to another building. We rang down to reception to ask if there was another room available and they was no sea views left but they offered us a junior suite instead. Oh my god - what a room! It was huge. Beautiful high ceilings and chandeliers. We would never be able to afford to stay in a room like this so to have a glimpse of how the other half live was just fab! We had left our 3 children with my sister for this precious night away and it was just amazing. The staff were really nice and helpful and always had a smile for you. We ate in the bar in the evening as my husband was mad to see the rugby match and the food was lovely. We found the bar staff to be most helpful and the service was very good. The breakfast was very good too, with a good selection of fruit, juices, cereals and hot food buffet. I visited the spa while I was there and had a wonderful massage from a girl called Patricia and it was really good. I had some serious knots in my shoulders which she sorted out for me, without hurting! The hydrotherapy room and floating beds were a particular favourite. The hotel is very well situated and we went for a lovely walk along the pier and there was a lovely market where we browsed and then sat with a coffee. We will definitely stay in this hotel again and would highly recommend it to our friends.
