“Our first night in Ireland”

Wonderful place to stay our first night in Ireland! Perfect spot to unwind after a long flight from Canada and a short drive from Dublin Airport. Short stroll to shopping area and harbour. Maria was a very helpful hostess and a great cook. Our first Full Irish breakfast couldn't have been better!! Wonderful selections to taste. Warm and charming house, lovely dining area, plenty of resource information available. Comhaltas Ceolteori Eirinn is located here in Dun Laoghaire and we had a wonderful first evening enjoying a pint and the young & very talented Musicians and dancers. Great Location!!

“Beautiful Georgian home with great hosts!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 November 2011

The best thing about this B&B are its hosts; Steve and Maria! What charming people! Steve rescued us after becoming lost in the town center, and led us back to their home. I would never have found it. Maria is such a hoot, warm and gracious! And she has a great sense of humor. Her husband Steve is a wonderful, artistic man, who loved giving us the tour of the artwork in their home. This home is old, well-appointed, warm and very comfortable. The heat was on! It is filled with family and love, and it shows. The son was recently engaged, and Maria had to cook for a large family gathering, but it did not deter her from seeing after her guests. A great breakfast with the best yogurt I've ever had was cooked early for us as we had to leave fairly early to catch our plane. I wanted to stay and get to know this family. When I remember this B&B I realize I'm smiling. I recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to feel at home while traveling. Well done, Steve and Maria! Well done!

Room Tip: Any room in this home is a treat and joy!

“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 November 2011

I have been in Dun laoghaire for 7 weeks and i stayed with Maria and Steve for almost 5 weeks.I found this place very neat and organised. My room was tidy and warm with convenience of Television and tea/Coffee. they also have in compound parking spaces. Break fast is all you can eat with plenty of choices. Maria and Steve is a nice couple to mingle.

“Smiles, friendliness, good food and a nice warm room.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 October 2011

Maria gets first prize for her role as your host. She is a very warm and friendly woman who is concerned about your needs while staying in her home. Her dining room is well appointed and she serves an excellent breakfast. You want for nothing! We stayed for four days and commuted via the DART to Dublin and this arrangement worked well. We appreciated the heat on in the house at this time of the year when the weather is cooling off and the dampness setting in. Many of the places where we stayed in Ireland did not supply a little heat even when asked. We were in Europe for five weeks in total and this is the best B&B of them all.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a private bath.

“Terrific Edwardian era townhouse”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 September 2011

We stayed with Maria and Steve for 4 days during our recent trip to Ireland. The house is located a ten minute walk from the DART station, making it a great place to stay outside of busy Dublin. Free parking! Great shower! Maria faciliatates good "gossip" at breakfast and even managed to come up with my special request for kippers on our last morning. Steve is very knowlegable about Irish history and both he and Maria give impeccable directions and advice. Loved our whole stay!
