“Irish hospitality!”

Thanks to Mary for her wonderful hospitality. One block from the Dart line into Dublin makes this a convenient place to see Dublin from, with a relaxed country atmosphere. The Walking tour to the South is a must see and Bullock Castle and harbor is a short walk from the B&B. Our room was neat and clean, the food was good and Mary was a great hostess.Dublin is a short Dart ride to the north and easy to walk around. A cab ride is a must and if you get a ride from John Madden tell him we said hello. Great place to vacation.

Room Tip: Rooms are all good.

“Lovely by the shore”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2011

We spent two nights at this lovely B&B, using it as our homebase to tour Dublin, but we also found Dun Laoghaire to be a delightful place to visit in itself. The owners were friendly, helpful and anxious to make our stay pleasant. Our room was clean and cozy, and the view, beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and enjoyed in a lovely dining room with lush, Victorian mouldings and friendly faces. The train station is right around the corner as is the bus to the airport. Very convenient! A great place to stay to see Dublin or just hang out in Dun Laoghaire.

“Quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2011

I and many of my friends have stayed in Windsor Lodge. It is clean and bright, close to dart and just beside the sea. I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone.

“Loved it and we'll be back!!”

I've just seen Dun Laughaire on Daybreak T.V.(Itv) and feel I must write to agree what a brilliant place is it. To make it perfect, the B and B we stayed in was home from home. Mary the owner was just pure Irish always smiling, helpful and just so friendly even helping us with trips around the bay and advising us on places to go around Ireland.
The B & B 'Windsor Lodge' Dun Laughaire, was so  clean, very up Market but so homely, brilliant bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms or showers, and the breakfast-well. I think Irish breakfasts beat the English  ones, cooked eggs even scrambled if requested bacon, sausage, tomatoes etc, nothing was too much trouble if you asked. Also corn flakes, fruit, yogurt, toast and they cater for Germans, French and all nationally.
My family and I had a wonderful time in July and 'Windsor Lodge' certainly made the holiday.
I do not usually recommend but this time I can say I will always go back there, 'Windsor Lodge'
was certainly above standard, it was quite brilliant .
Thank you so much,

“Good Location”

Because we had a car, we didn't want to stay in Dublin so opted to stay in Dun Laoghaire, taking the train into the city. Windsor Lodge is within a block of the train station and within walking distance of several good restaurants. I recommend spending a little bit more for the largest room with a view of the water; while the bathroom is right outside the door, there is a privacy screen which makes it as though it is in the same room. The parking lot is also very, very tight and cannot fit more than 4 small cars so be prepared.
