“Comfortable, average hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012 via mobile

I arrived quite early off a transatlantic flight and the receptionist was good enough to offer me a room immediately! Breakfast was buffet and a decent value. The room was clean and neat. A bit too much furniture for a room of its size, however. The bathroom could use a new coat of paint on the ceiling. Only complaint: rugby fans in the halls at all hours, but this is the real price of staying in an inexpensive hotel in Dublin!

“Best I've visited except for two minor complaints”

Chose this hotl because of my need to visitg my sick mother in the Mater Hospital.
Having read all the scare stories on this site, I was a bit apprehensive about my stay. Having stated at many 5 stars around the world this ranks up there with the best of them My room was excellent, internet service was more than adequate. Reception staff while not Irish were pleasant and spoke reasonablly good english and more than the expected standard of courtesy. I cannot speak highly enough about them

Room very clean and spacious I was single in double room but a couple had more than adequate space.

Tv choice not excellent but then who spend time in hotel to look at TV.
For those who complain here about the view, this is inner city dublin, the heart and soul of the city and I never encountered any problems on my walks to the hospital or at any time was in fear of walking as I have in many centre of may european towns.

Breakfast excellent which brings me to my minor complaints, but major to ne, Irish white pudding and black pudding is stable food when returning home and not to find it on the menu was disappointing. had it been included breakfast would rank as on of the best I ever had. Fresh clean and plenty. Buffet well stocked and maintained all the time.

I like to sit at a bar and enjoy a pint sadly I did not see this facility in the hotel and while minor it is important when travelling on your own.

Overall would give this 6/5 if possible and will definitely be back many times in the future when I return to Dublin

Room Tip: As a non smoker I always recommend to stay in non smoking rooms. despite the best efforts of staff t...

“good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Just came back from two nights.
Considering that it was the lowest cost option on offer when we booked for a rugby 6 nations match...cannot complain. Room large, bed very comfortable, spotlessly clean. Location is on the edge of where most attractions are, it is a ten minutes walk from O'Connell Street shopping but we spent most of our time walking to the Grafton Street/Temple Bar area (30 minutes walk). No good eating places close. Had the breakfast for 8Euros on the first morning, didnt bother for the next day. Would we stay there again? - no - only because it was too far away from where we spent most of our time

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the right of the hotel - very quiet

“Perfect for a weekend in Dublin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Having visited Ireland on many occasions and never having looked at Dublin, we decided to do just that; we got the aircoach from the airport to O'Connell Street and walked to the hotel. It turned out to be in a perfect location for us - we used the Dublin hop on hop off bus (which was great) and we visited everywhere on our list! We had a good sized room at the hotel, no noise, the staff were very helpful, and we really enjoyed our visit. We'll be back!
