We have stayed at the Premier Apartments twice during 2010. We stayed in a 2 bed apartment and a three bed apartment . We had our own car to get around and the location suited as we wanted to visit friends close by. I wholeheartedly recommend the apartments for anyone looking for a self catering option in Dublin who doesn’t want/need to be in the city centre.

Location:
The apartments are in the middle of an industrial estate/business park. While there is a supermarket and coffee shops nearby there is very little else for a tourist. The only exception is Imaginosity (www.imaginosity.ie) which is a great trip for young children. In a car it is 5 mins to/from Dublin’s ring road, the M50. This means you can get around the city or out of the city very quickly. The Luas (tram) Stillorgan stop is 2 mins walk away and will bring you into the south city centre in 25 mins. It also passes Dundrum Shopping Centre if you want to stop off for some shopping.

Staff:
We found the staff very friendly and helpful e.g. when we rang for extra sheets they were provided promptly. The office is manned during office hours only.

Apartments
By Dublin standards the apartments were spacious and the 3 bed in particular had a very large living area. We had two small kids who also loved being able to go out onto the balconies. The apartments were clean but did show some signs of wear and tear e.g scuff marks on doors and walls. The apartments are well equipped with fridge freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, dvd player (by request) along with the few extras that help in the first day or two (coffee sachets, dishwasher tablets, sugar sachets, UHT milk)

Overall the Premier Apartments in Sandyford are very good value for money and a good option for a family or group. When we visit Dublin again we will stay there again.

I booked these apartments because they were cheaper then hotels in Dublin centre. We were really pleased with our apartment. It was very big, the twin room had an en suite and both bathrooms had underfloor heating - who can complain!?
A bonus was how close it was to the tram (Luas) line, which was very regular and cheap and ran straight into Dublin. One of the stops led to a large shopping centre, with a large selection of restaurants.
As stated by others, there is a supermarket two minutes from the hotel.
A downside is that the spar shop beneath the hotel seemed to be shut constantly..
I also got pickpocketted in Dublin town centre, i know this is a problem in all major cities but be careful and don't carry too much money. The staff were understanding and helpful with contacting local police.
Taxis back from Dublin centre to Sandyford were about 20 euros, not as bad as we thought.
Overall the location was not a problem, and we had no disturbance from the offices next door. The instructions given were fantastic and really helpful. Would definately go back!

First the good. 2 bedroom apartment had very spacious "living" area with excellent kitchen. The twin bedroom was ensuite. The apartments was just 2 minutes from the LUAS line which goes straight to the Dublin City centre and just 5 minutes walk to very large good value supermarket. Building was secure. Now the bad. Management Office only staffed from 9-5, any problems after 5 (tough luck). The double bed was not comfortable. I had a problem with the carspace I was assigned. Everyone please note – this apartment building is in the middle of an industrial office park. The building opposite was being cleaned by a cherry-picker that was roaring away from 11.00pm until 4.30am. When I drew this to the attention of the management they said there was nothing they could do. While this is probably true, some hotels and larger apartment complexes have local agreements with neighboring businesses that heavy work is only carried out during daylight hours. My advise – consider staying in a hotel or apartment that in a residential area and is bound by strict local laws relating to noise pollution.

We had an excellent time in the apartments, the instructions were spot on and easy to follow, the apartment (81)was spacious, clean and lived up to exceptions. We had 2 slight problems which were sorted out, and the views from the apartment were great.
It was very handy having internet connection and a safe, with close access to transport, these apartments are well placed, yes it is in the middle of an industral estate but they're all offices, there is a smart coffee shop and spar shop so all in all, well recommended. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
