Me and my husband stayed at this hotel from Monday to Friday for vacation. I have to start off by saying the staff there was amazing! Peter was such a great help and the front desk staff was always friendly each day and willing to help us plan our day.
We arrived early, coming off an international flight, and got to the hotel around 10:30 am. (You do have to take the bus from the airport to Trinity College, but it was a short walk) We knew check in was not until 3:00pm but thought we would just ask if our room was ready. It was not ready yet, but they put our room next on the cleaning schedule and told us we could leave our bags there and start exploring the city and to check back after lunch. This was wonderful.
The hotel is walking distance to everything. We really couldn't have picked a better hotel for location. During our stay we walked to the Guiness storehouse, Jameson, Kilmainham Goal, Dublin Castel, Temple Bar area, Saint Patrick's Cathedral, Grafton Street, O'Connell street and St. Stephens Green. We did not have to spend any money on a taxi. And there are plenty of cafes and stores just around the corner.
The Dart station is right down the road, and from there we went to Howth and Skeery.
More about the hotel- The room was the perfect size, it was clean, we had tea and coffee in the room and they even had cookies for us each day. The breakfast was wonderful. There was fruit, bread, ham, cheese, cereal, coffee and juices. But you could also order off the menu and get a full Irish Breakfast. It was really a great choice being there four days. There is wifi in the lobby and restaurant but not the rooms. But Peter said they were working on getting wifi in the rooms. There is no elevator, so you might want to request a low floor. But we stayed on the 3rd floor and had no problems.
I would recommend this hotel for families, couples, or even business. We will be back! Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a great stay.
