“Super!”

Had a great stay. The staff were so friendly. We arrived very early that morning. We were offered breakfast, although we hadn't stayed the previous night. We were also given our room key within the hour to leave our bags and refresh. I was so greatful, as had been travelling overnight. I have already recommended this super guest house. Many Thanks.

“Great experience in a historical building with exceedingly friendly staff”

I stayed 13 days of my holydays in room 131 of the guesthouse nearby the hotel. The room and the bathroom were clean. The service was friendly in all situations. The breakfast was rich, varied, and tasted delicious. The building is radiating a sympathetic atmosphere. The location is only a few minutes from the city centre with all its precious sights. I'll come back again.

“Great and Then Even a Step Beyond”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

I stayed here at the hotel the first couple weeks of this year (2012). I have to say, the value is great for this little hotel. The rate, which was 59 euro I night I think, includes a full Irish breakfast and the location is only a few minutes south of the hussle-and-bussle of the city.

The "step beyond" that I am talking about is the fact of how courteous the front desk is. After staying in Dublin a few days, I thought it would be a good idea to eat raw oysters at a market in town. Well, little did I know, but 78% of the the oysters in Ireland are contaminated with an outbreak of a virus known as the norovirus. Anyway, I got the virus and after 4 hours of suffering with it, I made it downstairs to get help in going to a hospital. The front desk was so polite and helpful. He talked me out of getting an ambulance and instead walked out front to hail me a cab while I waited next to the trashcan. When I arrived back to the hotel the front desk asked if I needed anything and they attended to my needs.

Thanks again! I will definitely be staying here again and I appreciate the great service!

“Convenient, great value & comfortable”

I stayed on Saturday night in room 126 which is a small double room on the top floor with a lovely view of the canal. Secondary glazing in the room meant that I wasn't disturbed by any external traffic noise. My room was compact but perfect for a single traveller. The bathroom was large, spotless & had plenty of clean towels. Some of the bedroom fixtures were a little shabby and the wardrobe door needs replacing. The TV channel reception isn't great and the wifi doesn't extend to the rooms so you need to borrow a modem cable to use a laptop.

I slept perfectly, was too full from the night before to manage breakfast and can only offer fulsome praise for the wonderfully friendly receptionist who was working on Saturday and Sunday. Car parking is a fantastic bonus and is very easy to locate.

“Very good place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

Five minutes of walk from Grafton Street, very quiet during the night, near to the airport bus station and a very good breakfast are the caracteristics of this hotel.
Room with sauna, jacuzzi, and internet connection do the rest.
