“Decent value hotel in a great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

The hotel is in a great location, close to Grafton Street and not too long a walk to Temple Bar or RDS, but I could see people taking a taxi to both these places.

The room was of a generous size and the bed was massive. I could see no issues with cleanliness or any damage to be seen. The shower was excellent and the full size mirror was heated to prevent it fogging up.

The staff were very helpful in providing directions and also recommendations for local eating establishments.

On the negative side during our stay was a slight issue with getting the door open, but the receptionist had warned us they were having some problems that day with door locks. This was quickly resolved though.

Also the hotel has a deal with a local car park thats a couple of hundred yards away from the hotel. It wasn't an issue for us, but maybe for those that can't walk too far so I felt I'd better mention it.

“Excellent location”

Good value, centrally located in a lovely part of the city. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet at the back of the hotel. Not much of a view from this side of the hotel. Just stayed for one night on a room only basis, didnt get to eat here but some of the best restaurants and best clubs in Dublin are close by.

“Great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Great location steps away from Stephens green, Trinity and Grafton st.

Service was lacking and super disorganized, but hotel was clean and location wonderful.

Would recommend this hotel.

“Good hotel on the edge of the city centre shopping area”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Overall a good hotel. My first stay and I'd certainly stay again. Good reception area and the room was well appointed. Good sleep so bed must have been comfy! Good warm heating. Bathroom was looking a little tired around the edges but nothing that was worthy of complaint. Breakfast is a buffet with a choice of hot and cold items. Service was prompt. I did have some doubt about the lift (elevator) buttons - often you didn't know whether or not the button had worked! Wi-fi is not free so not used. Hair dryer in the room in the desk. Trouser press and iron board and inroom electronic safe. Tea and coffee tray in wardrobe. Location is good. Just in the corner of St Stephen's Green so under 5 minutes to the end of Grafton Street and the main shopping area. Lots of restaurants and pubs/bars nearby.

“Fantastic location - especially if you get a good deal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

We stayed here for two nights in January which was booked as a surprise Christmas present via Lastminute. The hotel is in a great location literally 5 minutes walk away from all the action, but also peaceful enough if you want to go to sleep at a reasonable time! The room was spacious, modern and clean with huge comfortable bed. The only negatives if I had to find any were that the bathroom could do with being modernised to match the standard of the bedroom although it was clean, everything worked and the shower was nice and powerful. I didn't have any food at the hotel as wanted to be out and about - the Cedar Tree Lebanese restaurant is a must! Would definitely stay at the hotel again in the future.
