“Excellent Gem - very near city centre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

Stayed in the Ardmore Hotel for 2 nights in January. Had bought a voucher on the internet and was delighted with the hotel.
Room was very cosy. I would recommend for anyone booking to ask for a room at the back of the hotel as we stayed at the front and there was some noise from road traffic.
Breakfast was good, however, they could improve the fruit juice - just a little grip.
Bus stop outside the hotel and 15 mins takes you into City Centre.
Lovely park not far from hotel, excellent if you want to have a walk down by the river.
Will definately recomment this hotel to others visiting Dublin

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel would be quieter

“Fit for purpose”

I stayed here in early January mid week. It's hard to fault the value for money this hotel offers. Secure underground parking, friendly staff, nice bar and a great breakfast. Its near the Dublin office of the company that is lucky enough to have me working for them so the location was perfect. It's well connected to Dublin via the bus and a bus lane all the way to the city centre is just outside. It's close to ikea, Croke park, the airport and the m50. I'll be back.

Room Tip: I like a road facing room here

Ya, there was just something about this hotel, i cant put my finger on what it was that i didnt like because the staff were very accomodating to us, but the 'vibe' in the place wasnt good! Did you ever have a bad feeling, and just couldnt shake it!

Its clean, quiet, staff are helpful but i just wouldnt go back. Shortage of pillows is the only thing i can say for definite but its just not a happy place to be!

“Fine hotel. Great staff, convenient to The Helix (D.C.U.)”

I stayed at this hotel recently, (my third time staying). As with my previous 2 visits I was very pleased with everything. The bedrooms are very clean, comfortable, and warm. The restaurant food is excellent and all the staff is very friendly and very efficient. I stayed for a weekend and I was pleasantly surprised that there was live music provided in the bar in the evenings. The band was very good and they played music to suit every taste and age group. This hotel is only a few minutes drive away from The Helix theatre. (D.C.U.)

“Free wireless and off street parking!”

We stayed at the Ardmore several times during out 3 week trip to Ireland in October/November 2011. The hotel was clean despite the fact that the carpet was worn and loose, the paint was chipped and the rooms were hot. My sister and I shared a twin room on each occasion. She lives in the tropics and liked the heat and I slept by the window so I could feel the cold breeze. The restaurant food was good, all staff members were helpful and polite and the free wifi and off street free parking were definite pluses. It was a 10 min bus ride from Dublin city (the bus stop is right outside the front door of the hotel) so we left the hire car because parking in Dublin is expensive and there isn't much of it! There is a Tesco a few minutes walk away for supplies (although there was no fridge in the room but water on the window ledge
was cold enough!). The bathrooms we spotless and the beds were comfy and clean. One serious downfall for me was the last night we stayed (a Saturday). There was live music in the bar that went all night and I got very little sleep which was not great for my 26 hour flight +8 hour wait in London on the way home the next day! Overall though, good value for money :)

Room Tip: The first floor rooms were better. Ask for one at the rear of the hotel but don't look at the vi...
