“Tiny Bed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Stayed here with my boyfriend O.M.G it's so noisy you can't hear yourself think it was like the night club was in our room ha ha!! we had a room on the first floor maybe all the rooms are not as bad but sadly we got a really tiny room with noisy Dame St right outside, this hotel has a night club and bar and I didn’t get to sleep until after 3am they do give you ear plugs in your room so that just says it all really! The staff at this hotel our really friendly so that’s a good thing. Our bathroom was lovely and had a great power shower and lovely fluffy towels. Our bed was the smallest double bed we have even seen in our lifes it was kind of funny though sometimes you just gota laugh but my boyfriend being over 6 foot and a manly build it’s not that comfortable or funny then!
Overall this is a decent hotel I would recommend it for people who want to party all night long and don’t mind not getting any sleep but a very good point it’s Right next to the main shopping areas, historical places of interest, theatres, parks, restaurants and of course Temple Bar. Also you will get this hotel for a great price if you call the reception we paid €50 only for two of us so for the location alone that’s amazing really but I really would never pay more than that because if you did you would really kick yourself believe me.

“great location, good price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

As a solo student traveller this hotel was excellent, it was inexpensive in a really incredibly convenient location. The staff were very friendly, the rooms were small but had everything needed. The only thing stopping me giving this place an excellent rating is that it was quite noisy and on strange nights too, not necessarily the traditional party nights of friday and saturday, but sometimes during the week as well. However the staff were really very friendly and had some great suggestions for things to do in the area, as well as very quick about resolving any issues.

Room Tip: get a room facing away from Dame St if possible

“Excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

I booked this hotel through ebookers and when I arrived at reception I found out the hotel was giving a better price. So maybe ring the hotel directly before any bookings are made.

My first floor room was clean, large, bed was comfortable. It did get noisy as I was on the first floor facing busy Dame street. If I was up a few floors I'm sure it would have been quieter.

Food in the bar is good and an great place to start your night.

Location was the best you will get for Dublin city centre, all the sights, nightlife on your doorstep.

I will stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room up a few floors to avoid street traffic noise. Check with hotel for rates before usin...

“The hotel pictures do not resemble the true hotel experience”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

Looking at the website pictures for this hotel we were expecting a good hotel, not only did one of the party have to sleep on a camp bed, the curtains being held up with paperclips, the windows not closing, the carpets thick with black dirt, the noise being horrendous (Earplugs supplied by Hotel) and the rooms being dirty. We expected a lot better for the £120 GBP per room per night. The only good thing was a decent breakfast and the close locality to Temple Bar (Pubs, Pubs, Clubs & More Pubs).
There are better hotels so if you have the patience to look around then do so.

“cheap decent hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

Prices at the hotel are very affordable, and for its class it offers very good quality of service. The room was rather small, but cozy and clean enough. I did not try their breakfast.
I experienced some problems with connecting to the Internet.
There are not much extra services at this hotel, however there is no special need for them if you agree to stay at a hotel of this level.
